this recipe for fettuccine carbonara with green beans by molly yeh, is the perfect example.
once you've got it down, which is really about one time, as long as you keep your wits about you, it's a breeze to make. i rank my recipes success by how much steven puts on his plate to start out, and then how many times he goes back for seconds. let's just say this one's a favorite. so much so that we ate the entire batch last night and i was too full of pasta and wine to make more. so this morning i made another round. because steven got way more than me and he gets sick of things much faster than i do. so maybe i'll have this batch all to myself. at least that's what happened with the pineapple fried rice...
happy tuesday!
(the above photo is snagged from my name is yeh. we may be able to copy her delectable recipes but i've yet to even come close to her gorgeous food photography. but this is what it came out looking like - minus the brown egg shells, fresh from the farm beans, and real deal parmesan cheese - so i don't feel like a total fraud posting it. maybe one day, when i have a (much) bigger kitchen and beautiful lighting galore.)
