the garden project.

you could say i'm slightly obsessed with my garden. despite my initial horror over the price of some very beautiful flowers, i headed for the under 10$ range and decided to create my own side of paradise.

i was lucky enough to have these raised garden beds already in my backyard in a small, fenced off corner. it's nestled between the garages and house, making it a remarkably peaceful space.

it's kinda, sorta my dream to have a flower bed to create my own table bouquets from. i don't know how economical that is but it sounds quite lovely.

lately, i've felt like quite the child with these plants. i'm beyond stoked when i wake up to go out and check on everything. yes, this is where the obsession comes in.

how can you not be obsessed with all that green, garden beauty??

this is my happy place folks. i have visions of paving this with incredible brick walkways, probably with moss creeping along between the aging bricks. but i also have visions of kate spade sunglasses, paying off my credit card and visiting san francisco, so that one might have to wait. rearranging the pavers in the rest of the yard will do for now.

sunflowers are definitely being put in again. these aged beauties were from when chrissy gardened. i couldn't bear to toss them.

and i'm pretty sure some of the equipment i found amid crabgrass and leaves might be as old as the house. my house was built in 1910. another thing i'm obsessed with? slo history. you put two and two together. happy summer 2013 people!
