that working lady life.

i've received numerous jabs from various angles about my lack of posting. for you dear folk, i'd like to put forth the normal excuses:

 of school - that's finally done and i'm in the midst of a completely lovely summer break!

of work - i work a full time job between two jobs. if you don't have 40 hours in pay stubs, i don't want to hear it. if you're got more, wow, go you!

of a lack of internet and a need for a simpler life - yes, i allowed my home to run into wild, internet free territory. and it was refreshing. i actually finished a book and am nearly finished with another. one of those two may or may not be harry potter. it's summer and i can read for pleasure.

of not turning my computer on all that often - i've got a smart phone. that thing is the bee's knees folks! but for blogging, not my preferred style. something about having a couple inches of screen for the entire alphabet doesn't really cut it for me.

now i'll admit, sitting here with my glasses on, in a chair by the open window, with my legs propped up on my beautifully made bed in this evening, san luis obispo light, i do miss blogging. well, i do it for work so it's not all that missed. but personal, easy blogging? yeah, i miss that.

you know what else i miss? all the people that have left me in the past two months! shout out to Darryl Williams, Blake Borgo, Chrissy Berry, Matt Schroyer! ya'll depress me with your absence.

and that picture i posted? well, 5 days a week, when i walk to work, i lay out all the contents of my purse on my dining room table to assess what i have and make sure i'm ready. i don't know how it happens but in the mere course of a day, my purse is turned inside out. i put my water bottle in and out of the fridge. i'm forever changing jackets. my sunglasses get left in the garden. the list goes on and on. but one day i thought my "contents" looked rather nice. so i took a picture. and yes, eating an apple on my walk to work is my new favorite thing. fuji apples, so hot right now.

 it's really as simple as that. but it gives you a part of what the bare bones of my days of late are.
