i approve of taking full advantage of your birthday. as soon as september rolls around, everything can be attributed to, "well, it's my birthday so..." birthday week is even more extravagant, as clearly shown by our scheduled white board for the week. i'm blessed to have friends that allow me to pull this sort of diva attitude for a full month and have just as much fun with it as i do. (or at least to be good enough friends to let me get away with it.) i found a great birthday dress while shopping yesterday. (got to have one, it's my birthday) and today i saw an old neighbor who asked me how things were going. "oh well it's my birthday next week so..." a random guy walking past us must have only heard "it's my birthday" and cheerfully proclaimed, "Happy Birthday!"
i'll take it... it is my birthday month.
but more importantly TODAY is grandparents day. so a very happy day to both of the grandmas that i'm still so lucky to have in my life.
