humble brag.

part of my ever evolving job at EcoBambino has been getting items uploaded to the website. sadly the computer system doesn't magically know when boxes arrive and automatically upload them for people around the world to purchase. i wish.

what you're looking at above is a fresh shipment of clothes, uploaded by yours truly. usually the company provides us with product images but sometimes they aren't complete. can you guess which of these images i took and which were given to us by the company? betcha can't!

happy wednesday!

sundays are for lovers.

Steven and i both have Sundays off which has evolved into "our day". Sounds corny but with me working two jobs (60+ hours a week) and him working part time and going to school to get his teaching credential this is when we get most of our quality time together. We try to get outside for at least part of the day although I can't lie and say we've never vegged out in an entire day of movie marathoning. One of our favorite spots is Montana de Oro, there are so many trails that we could explore every Sunday and never be bored. Sundays are for lovers.

Happy Thursday!

then & now.

Put together a presentation for my boss this morning and part of the process was Photoshopping these two photos. The left is San Luis Obispo in the early 1900s and the right is a photo of the town from the early 2000s, same perspective.

The last month of last year was a total blur from the craze that is retail work during the holiday season. And now we're in a new year. I'm looking forward to seeing what it brings.

happy wednesday!

11/13/15

take me down to paradise city.

some photos from steven and i's recent trip to santa cruz. if it was up to me i would go to the same place on vacation over and over again. and that place would be the adobe on green street in santa cruz. i'm obsessed with all the cute details (those mini chairs!!), how close it is to everything (we didn't drive anywhere while we were there) and their awesome dvd library.

however, i hear part of having a successful relationship is being able to compromise. and steven said we need to pick a new place to go next. he's suggesting carmel/monterey because of all the cool artists that stayed there in the 20s and 30s. ok, history, wine and art? i can deal.

highlights from this trip included:
finding live music saturday night at a BOMB hawaiian bbq place
exploring a very quiet and non-operational boardwalk
visiting the surf museum
watching Pirate Radio (hilarious)
taking the scenic right back on Hwy 1 and stopping to see the elephant seals

sidecar sunday.

steven and i met up at sidecar this past sunday for a yummy brunch. the bloody mary's are weak in my personal opinion but they're pretty and the food is delicious. Plus, sitting on the front patio makes for prime people watching.

9/14/15

this little piggy.

i mentioned in my last post that i got a promotion at work. hurray! hurray!

in light of that event, i want to make a call to action! i'm currently in charge of social media, mostly instagram and facebook, where it's my job to create discussions, be a information source for parents in the local area, make people think and communicate and of course, aww over the cutest kids clothes and toys out there. it's also my job organize events that bring community leaders and thinkers into the store to create a center of knowledge for families.

because i can't possibly keep up with everything that's happening in this rapidly changing world (and i truly believe that raising a child takes a village) i'm asking anyone who reads this to feel free to email me: kat@shopecobambino.com

email me:
current events related to children and families
information about chemicals and laws surrounding the regulations of these
cute mom-isms
literally anything child-related that you find engaging and interesting

and BIG thanks to everyone that made my birthday so special yesterday.

happy monday!

p.s. the photo is from the piggy paint party i organized at the store a couple weeks ago.

birthdays + summer indulgence

my momma's august bday and some spectacular summer evenings seemed like a good enough excuse for me to take the afternoon off work and pamper ourselves at madonna inn a few weeks ago.

happy thursday! very excited about my recent promotions at work which came with sundays off.

i can dig it.
